Basic Bricklaying Certificate Program
Fundamental skills for safely and effectively handling tools and materials to lay brick and finish brick mortar joints for a basic wall structure. Successful completion of the program to earn a Certificate of Completion requires students to complete the Basic Bricklaying course and use top-quality workmanship laying 60 modular brick half bond, jointing, them, brushing them off, and rejointing them in one hour or less. They will also be able to keep window and door jambs plumb.

Advanced Bricklaying Certificate Program
Honed bricklaying skills and use of a mason line, story pole, and builder’s level as well as more complex structures. Successful completion of the program to earn a Certificate of Completion requires students to complete the Advanced Bricklaying course and use top-quality workmanship in two projects. First, use a 4-foot builder’s level to build all brick corners, straight leads and build a 2-foot by 2-foot square brick pier or chimney and lay with 100 bricks in two hours or less, having perfectly plumb corners that are jointed, brush them off, and re-joint them in two hours or less. They must also lay 128 modular brick in one hour or less that are also jointed, brushed off, and rejointed.

Basic Blocklaying
Fundamental skills for safely and effectively handling tools and materials to lay block and finish block mortar joints for a basic wall structure. Successful completion of the program to earn a Certificate of Completion requires students to complete the Basic Blocklaying course and use top-quality workmanship laying 27 8x8x16 concrete masonry unit blocks, half bond, jointing them on both sides of the wall, brushing them off, and re-jointing them in one hour or less.

Advanced Blocklaying Certificate Program
Honed blocklaying skills and use of a mason line, story pole, and builder’s level as well as more complex structures. Successful completion of the program to earn a Certificate of Completion requires students to complete the Advanced Blocklaying course and use top-quality workmanship in two projects. First, build a 2-foot by 2-foot square block pier or chimney with 24 blocks in one hour or less. Second, lay 50 8x8x16 inch concrete masonry unit blocks, half bond in one hour or less, all jointed, brushed off, and re-jointed, having perfectly plumb corners.

Stonelaying Certificate Program
Competent laying and bonding of both natural and man-made stones for a free-standing stone veneer or stone wall. Successful completion of the program to earn a Certificate of Completion requires students to complete the Stonelaying course and use top-quality workmanship to lay a wall 8-feet long and 3 feet high, tooled and finished, in five hours.
